Curiosity

The SSHW Unit at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand recognised their website had become limiting, difficult to use, and was missing a sense of community and purpose. Change was clearly needed and Black Sheep was there to help to navigate the digital journey ahead.

Initial Discovery sessions explored the challenges and opportunities which we put together into a project roadmap for improving user experience, ultimately helping Safe Staffing Healthy Workplaces share their progress and get more people using their Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) programme.

Guidance

Black Sheep ran further information architecture workshops designed to understand goals and user profiles that helped us plan and organise content to create logical, natural user flows. Our new site tree was tested with real users from the target audience, resulting in insights used to make user-centric decisions when working on wireframe and design prototypes.

Expertise

Brand development exercises explored concepts for a look & feel that was less cold & technical and more fresh, inclusive, and compassionate while establishing a clearer brand architecture to articulate the relationship between their well-known programme (CCDM) and lesser-known parent taskforce (SSHW), paving the way for future expansion.

With real collaborative effort, the team brought everything together into a streamlined website with clear structure and pathways to help users find relevant information, implement the CCDM programme at their workplace, and promote Safe Staffing Healthy Workplaces. Training sessions with the SSHW team helped us refine our SilverStripe CMS implementation to make the website easy for them to self-manage and set them up for success.
